The State Board of Education voted Friday, September 15, 2023 to return the Pine Bluff School District to local control.  The board made their decision at a meeting at the Pine Bluff Convention Center which followed presentations by board president Dr. Sederick Rice, Superintendent Jennifer Barbaree and Stacy Smith of the State Department of Education.  The vote by the board was unanimous.
